UV-bulbs manufacturing for screen-printing (exposure equipment)
In our modern, highly specialized bulb manufacturing plant, we produce
UV bulbs for all applications in screen printing.
MH-Bulbs (metal halide lamps) for exposure equipment and exposure light sources
For the production of screen printing stencils with direct, indirect or direct/indirect stencil technique our MH-
Bulbs (MH-Lamps) are being used in copying lamps on stand, compact exposure boxes, curtain systems,
plus all the special equipment used in industrial applications.
For the exposure of the emulsion-based (or capillary film based) stencils, usually gallium-doped MH-bulbs
are used. Increasingly, however, iron-doped MH-bulbs or, the latest development of our house, mixed
spectra (Galliumiron) are in use.
For all models, types and manufacturers of UV-exposure systems, we can offer appropriate UV
replacement bulbs!
Also one-offs in top quality can be provided by our in-house manufacturing at reasonable prices.
There are basically two different types of bulbs available:
Bulbs for shutter lamp systems
In exposure systems with shutter, the bulb is preheated constantly with a reduced stand-by power and the
UV light output in the exposure breaks is enclosed by a mechanical shutter (driven electrically or
pneumatically). Only at the start of exposure the UV bulb (the UV lamp) is ramped up to rated power and
the shutter is opened. MH-bulbs (MH-lamps) for shutter lamps are available in all doping’s (gallium, iron,
etc.).
Instant Start Bulbs (Quick Start Bulbs)
In many exposure units so called shutter-free systems (Instant Start Systems or Quick Start systems) are
being used. This means that the bulb is switched off completely during rest periods and only for the
required exposure time, the burner is started. For this purpose a special Instant Start Bulb (Quick Start
Bulb) is equipped with an integrated triggering wire!
Instant Start Bulbs (Quick Start Bulbs) are limited by the doping, there are no iron-doped bulbs available.
The most common types of bulbs are on stock, where we have more than 3000 bulbs available.
On request we can produce ozone-free UV-bulbs by using very special quartz glass qualities to allow the
usage in sensitive work areas.
Because we are committed to the environment and our customers, we offer for all delivered UV bulbs our
disposal system. Just send us your used UV bulbs, freight prepaid, in sufficient packaging, we dispose it
expertly and free of charge for you!
